Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Product Engineering Manager to lead design, development, and launch of new rigid plastic packaging products.

You will mentor engineering teams, oversee CAD design, FMEA, testing, and ensure compliance with global plastics recycling and food-contact standards while collaborating with Sales and customers.

This role requires 10–15 years of plastics experience, strong leadership, and travel 15–20%.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of product design, product/project management, or related experience with leadership.
• Experience with plastics packaging in high-volume manufacturing.
• 3D/2D CAD proficiency and ANSI drafting standards.
• Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience.
• Regulatory knowledge: recycling, food-contact, UN hazmat.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops concepts for new plastic packaging.
• Ensures designs are manufacturable and fit for use.
• Defines, plans, and monitors costs and technical performance.
• Provides technical direction and acts as liaison to leadership.
• Builds relationships with customers and coordinates testing.
