Job summary

Aria Insurtech is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own meaningful pieces of the platform for independent life insurance agents. You’ll ship end-to-end features across the web app, collaborating with producers, designers, and the founding team to turn real-world problems into tangible product.

You’ll work across the stack with TypeScript/React on the front end and Node on the back end, mentor teammates, raise the bar for quality, and help scale performance and observability while delivering

• Full stack: TypeScript/React on frontend, Node on backend.
• Clear communication in PRs, tickets, and meetings.
• Bias to ship; ask what unblocks today, not perfect solutions in six weeks.
• Care about the people using what you build; real-world impact.
• Experience in fintech, insurtech, or regulated B2B space.
• Built CRM, dialer, or workflow software.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship full features across our web app—frontend, backend, and the calls in between.

01 — About About the role.

Aria is the operating system for independent life insurance agents — leads, back office, CRM, and training, all in one platform. As a Senior Product Engineer, you’ll own meaningful pieces of that platform from idea to issued policy.

You’ll work directly with producers, designers, and the founding team to turn real-world field problems into shipped product. The work is fast, the bar is high, and the impact is unusually direct — the features you ship show up in an agent’s day the same week they land.

02 — Day-to-day What you’ll do.

• Own and ship full features across our web app — frontend, backend, and the calls in between.
• Work with producers on a weekly basis to understand what’s actually breaking in the field and what would change their week if you fixed it.
• Partner with design to turn hard problems into simple flows. Push back when something doesn’t make sense. Champion craft.
• Set the technical bar for new hires by example. Mentor when it helps. Write code that’s easy for the next person to understand.
• Help us evolve our stack as we scale — performance, observability, reliability, the unglamorous parts that compound over time.

03 — Fit What we’re looking for.

• 5+ years shipping real product in a fast-moving environment. Ideally somewhere with real users and real stakes.
• Comfortable across the full stack. Modern TypeScript/React on the front, Node or similar on the back. You don’t have to love every layer, but you can move across them when the work demands it.
• A taste for clarity. Your PRs read well. Your tickets read well. Your meetings end on time.
• Bias to ship. You ask “what would unblock this today?” instead of “what’s the perfect solution in six weeks?”
• Care about the people who use what you build. We’re not building software for software’s sake.
• Experience in fintech, insurtech, or a similarly regulated B2B space.
• You’ve built CRM, dialer, or workflow software before.
• You’ve been close enough to a sales floor to know what “talk time” means.
