Job summary

MAHLE in Troy, MI is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the project team from an engineering perspective, prioritizing, planning and executing activities across development, industrialization and continuous improvement of Engine Cooling Systems.

You will focus on cost-effective solutions to technical, performance, quality and durability challenges discovered during new product development, with strong communication across all levels and global coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5 - 8 years of work experience in Engineering (automotive industry, development of automotive Heat Exchangers or equivalent preferred).
• Knowledge of Heat Exchanger design and validation or equivalent components.
• Understanding of thermodynamics theory as it applies to automotive engine cooling applications or other applications.
• Understanding of GD&T and knowledge of automotive industry standards.
• Must have Product Development and Production Launch experience.
• Must have strong communication skills and desire of global project coordination.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form with all levels of the organization.
• Experience at the MAHLE products and NAFTA plants are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team from an engineering perspective through prioritization, planning and execution of all activities associated with development, industrialization, and continuous improvement of Engine Cooling Systems.
• Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to technical, performance, quality and durability problems discovered during the development of new products.
• Coordinate global projects and communicate with all levels of the organization.
