Job summary

A.O. Smith Corporation in Haltom City, TX is seeking an experienced engineer to perform advanced design and development activities across the product lifecycle.

You will design, test, and optimize components, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure production-readiness and on-time delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years of related experience, and hands-on experience with SAP/MRP, Lean processes, and CAE tools such as SolidWorks,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
3+ years of related work experience or training.
Six Sigma or FMEA experience a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced engineering tasks with limited supervision.
Lead design efforts from concept through production readiness.
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.
Develop plans, resources estimates, and track costs and progress.
Prepare reports and present status to management.
Apply CAE tools to create prototypes and validate designs.
