Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Product Engineer for AMTPP to drive innovations in bonding and sealing for automotive applications. You will lead quality improvements, cost reductions, and product line expansions within AOEM, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally.

The role emphasizes NPI support, development of tapes, and active participation in CMPs, with travel up to 10% and on-site work at the Maplewood, MN campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed prior to start.
• Three years of Product Engineering/Development experience.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Materials, Polymer, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is a plus.
• Experience with pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes and coating/extrusion processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs to improve quality, reduce costs, qualify alternate supply, and expand product offerings.
• Guide Change Management Projects for existing products and extensions.
• Support development and maintenance of Structural Bonding Tapes, Weatherstrip Tapes, and Acrylic Foam Tapes.
• Assist New Product Introduction teams to drive launches.
• Support quality teams in customer issue resolution and product/process understanding.
