Job summary

H1 is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer to lead the design and evolution of the Knowledge Graph and Search platform. You will own architecture decisions and drive critical features affecting users, while mentoring teammates.

The role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership, focusing on scalable data pipelines, integration patterns, and performance improvements to support a growing healthcare knowledge graph used by professionals.

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Python or NodeJS for high-availability platform development.
• Experience designing and operating data systems and pipelines at scale.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD platforms (CircleCI).
• Proven experience designing and evolving external-facing Search and Knowledge graph Platforms.
• Experience with ElasticSearch, healthcare data domains, or customer-facing data delivery systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of platform features design and development—from problem definition to deprecation planning.
• Lead evolution of Search and Knowledge graph Platform to reduce redundancy and improve usability.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and well-scoped Jira tickets while remaining hands-on.
• Own and evolve data pipelines and transformation workflows for the platform.
• Define scalable integration patterns to support internal and external data exchange.
• Drive system performance and scalability as data volume grows.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex system and data issues and establish best practices for reliability and data quality.
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards.
• Leverage AI-first development practices to improve speed and quality.
