Job summary
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to help build the Intelligence Layer, a knowledge-graph based platform enabling secure enterprise-wide search experiences. You will work with the AI Engineering Lead, Architects, and delivery partners to design, implement, and run production-grade AI capabilities across the organization.
The role requires deep knowledge of graph databases, Python backend development, APIs, and integration with Claude/ChatGPT or similar platforms.
Qualifications
- Five+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with knowledge graphs and graph query languages
- Full-stack development with Python and modern front-end framework
- APIs integration across structured/unstructured data sources
- Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar LLM platforms
- Experience building production agentic pipelines/workflows
- Knowledge of Model Context Protocol and MCP servers
- Experience working with third-party delivery vendors
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Intelligence Layer components (ingestion pipelines, knowledge graphs, retrieval, APIs, UIs)
- Develop graph schemas and queries using Neo4j and Cypher
- Contribute across stack with Python backend and frontend needs
- Integrate structured/unstructured data while preserving metadata and governance
- Integrate with large language model platforms and Model Context Protocol
- Build production agentic pipelines with orchestration, tool use, state management
- Collaborate with Lead/Architect and delivery partners on testing and documentation
- Develop secure, maintainable software meeting confidentiality and reliability requirements
- Identify risks early and help prioritize technical decisions
