Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, seeks a Senior Program Manager, Product Development to organize and execute programs supporting the product development pipeline. This hands-on role requires collaboration with all levels at Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.

You will lead cross-functional teams, apply project management best practices, and develop schedules and risk plans while driving project success across multiple initiatives in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of broad-based project management experience and portfolio tracking.
• 5+ years leading large, high-budget, high-risk projects.
• 5+ years using Project Management software.
• 3+ years managing design control under ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach multiple efforts and teams to deliver work successfully.
• Apply project management methodologies and best practices.
• Define strategy and requirements with stakeholders to drive projects across the business.
• Develop schedules, budgets, risk plans and lead teams to success.
• Maintain detailed program metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Balance cost, quality and schedule while escalating issues as needed.
• Mentor program and project team members.
