Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Product Development to organize and execute programs for the product development pipeline within Abbott Cancer Diagnostics. This hands-on role requires collaboration across levels and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as outlined in essential duties.
• 8+ years of broad-based project management experience with large project portfolios.
• 5+ years managing large, high-budget, high-risk, critical projects.
• 5+ years using Project Management software.
• 3+ years managing design control per ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.
• Demonstrated success in risk management, change management, and strategic planning.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach multiple efforts and teams to deliver work successfully.
• Apply project management methodologies and best practices.
• Define strategy and requirements with business stakeholders to plan a collection of projects.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and risk management plans and lead the team to success.
• Maintain detailed program metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Make critical decisions based on data, experience, and judgement.
• Coordinate cross-project activities and mentor project team members.
• Maintain strong communication and manage multiple priorities in a matrix organization.
• Uphold Abbott’s quality and compliance standards and travel as needed.
