Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Group in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Product Development leader to guide the cross‑functional team through Stage Gate processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive successful new medical devices to market.

You will oversee project activities from design through commercial release, ensuring manufacturability, risk controls, and adherence to safety standards across expansive product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years industry experience.
• 4+ years in leadership role (this could include project management).
• Proficient in medical device design and development concepts and processes.
• High understanding of ISO 13485 requirements for Design Controls.
• Experience as project manager across all design and development phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, set and manage annual goals and objectives for the Product Development team.
• Manage performance and development of direct reports, fostering growth.
• Guide day‑to‑day direction, pace, prioritization, and accountability for Product Development Engineering team.
• Ensure progress of projects through Stage Gate and successful commercial release.
• Define and manage activities for Commercial Release of expansive product lines and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare Stage Gate reviews and Design Reviews to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Apply Risk Management policies to development processes and verify controls.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards and company policies.
