Job summary

Labconco seeks a Business Development Engineer to grow its glove box, isolator, and Class III enclosure portfolio. You will lead product development from concept through commercialization, collaborating with Product Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Marketing, and customers to translate market needs into engineered solutions.

This hands-on role combines product development, customer engagement, and portfolio growth, with responsibility for technical support and identifying new business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
• Five or more years of product development, product engineering, design engineering, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with new product development processes, design validation, and project management preferred.
• Experience with glove boxes, containment equipment, laboratory equipment, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and develop glove box, isolator, and Class III enclosure products from concept to launch.
• Lead product development projects, including requirements gathering, design reviews, validation testing, and commercialization.
• Develop custom-engineered solutions meeting customer-specific application requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and business case evaluations for new concepts.
