Amphenol High Speed Products Group is a market leader for high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for Telecom/Datacom markets (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches). We are seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join our High Speed IO Connector team in Etters, PA.

Responsibilities

• Generate concepts, design, verify, and qualify High Speed IO products for 112Gb signaling and beyond.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop product prototypes, support pilot production, and interface with beta-site customers.
• Perform Design FMEA, Tolerance Analysis, DFM, FEA, and Risk Analysis.
• Work with manufacturing disciplines to optimize designs for production.
• Lead product design reviews and verify drawings using GD&T.
• Define materials with Materials Engineering based on performance, cost, and sourcing.
• Present concepts to customers, interpret feedback, and revise designs accordingly.
• Establish product, application, and packaging specifications.
• Develop verification and qualification test plans.
• Manage first article inspections and support product transition to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical design.
• BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, FEA software (ANSYS preferred), GD&T, and Statistical Methods.
• Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and high-speed cable/connector design preferred.
• Experience with signal integrity considerations is a plus.
