About the Role

Hinge Health is looking for an exceptional and experienced Senior Product Designer, Treatment Experience to join our team to create consumer-facing mobile app features that empower members to act on the relationship between their lifestyle and overall health. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to give members powerful new tools to aid Hinge Health’s understanding of their context and daily behaviors, unlocking deep, actionable insights about their habits and lifestyle.   • Creativity & Innovation: While data is important, you also have a strong design intuition and are able to ideate innovative solutions to complex and ambiguous user experience challenges.

  • Collaboration & Influence: You’re a strong collaborator, working closely with design peers, product managers, engineers, user researchers, and data scientists to ensure the user experience is seamless and effective

  • Passion for quality: You’re a strong advocate for your craft and quality user experience, from effective interaction design to delightful visual expression and high quality implementation.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Develop a vision for our product experience; identify and visualize opportunities to up-level our member experience to benefit both our users and our business.

  • Lead the development and delivery of solutions that meet intended goals and create outcomes that positively impact key metrics.

  • Be a steward of great product design by ensuring solutions set high visual and interaction design quality standards.

  • Identify needs and key opportunities for user input; help plan and conduct user research with our user research team with contextual interviews, think-alouds, A/B tests, surveys and analysis.

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, care team members, and other designers to ensure designs drive desired UX, business, and technical outcomes.

  • Mentor and grow fellow designers while evangelizing design practices and finding opportunities to elevate confidence in design across the larger company.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a product designer

  • A portfolio demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; strong expertise in applying interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows

  • Expert understanding of visual systems and practices, including layout, iconography, typography and have a curiosity and eye for pushing visual design in interfaces forward

  • Experience in leading product design from opportunity development, to concept, to shipment

  • A 0 to 1 mindset; comfortable navigating ambiguity, partnering closely with product and engineering teammates to make decisions quickly, learn from them, and iterate

  • Prototyping skills at multiple levels of fidelity and experience helping elevate prototyping quality and utilization across your teams in the past

  • Fluency with user research practices and ability translate insights into actions

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, industrial design, product design, service design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience

  • A curiosity for designing AI-powered features gracefully within existing product experiences

  • Design innovator — you are excited to redefine a space by bringing novel, delightful ideas to the table. You are able to pull from unexpected sources of inspiration.

  • Passion for Healthcare or Fitness — you’re passionate about enabling others to live their healthiest lives through design and technology, and have experience in the industry

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000.
