Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, LLC is seeking a Product Designer III to deliver thoughtful, user-centered product experiences from early exploration to delivery. You will translate complex needs into intuitive workflows and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and other partners to align on solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, strategic thinking, and ability to navigate ambiguity while applying design systems and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex digital product experiences in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
• Strong product thinking balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills for complex workflows.
• Experience applying user-centered design methods throughout the process.
• Ability to own work and progress with minimal prescriptive direction.

Responsabilités

• Own product design work from problem framing through validation and iteration.
• Translate needs into clear workflows, IA, interactions and experiences.
• Connect design decisions to user and business goals with thoughtful tradeoffs.
• Use Figma and prototyping tools to create high-quality product experiences.
• Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Research and other stakeholders to align.
• Identify gaps, opportunities, and move work forward in ambiguity.
• Apply design systems and accessibility standards in practice.
• Explore emerging tools and AI-assisted design approaches.
