Quicken Inc in Menlo Park is seeking a Senior Product Designer to craft exceptional user experiences for our Mac desktop application. You’ll own projects from ideation to implementation, collaborating with product managers, engineers, QA, and other stakeholders.

This contract‑to‑hire role features 2 in‑office days per week, a base pay range of $155,000–$172,500, and a culture that values technical excellence, innovation, and personal finance impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design with desktop, web and native apps.
• Portfolio showcasing interaction and visual design and your role in the product design process.
• Experience contributing to or managing design libraries or systems for product teams.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and gather feedback.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma.
• Experience conducting usability tests.
• Familiarity with Apple’s design guidelines (macOS or iOS).
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Passion for personal finance and creating meaningful user solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive financial tools and experiences tailored to our desktop customers.
• Understand users by conducting original research and analyzing feedback, metrics, and trends.
• Advocate for user‑centered design principles across the organization.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, and iteration with solid design judgment.
• Express design decisions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Maintain macOS design alignment with brand guidelines.
• Create and communicate ideas through flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
• Enhance design systems with pattern libraries and reusable components.
• Collaborate with product manager, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver user‑needs aligned solutions.
• Iterate through reviews and feedback from customers and team members.
