Job description

Intuit’s Credit Karma team is looking for a Senior Staff Product Designer to help shape the end-to-end customer experience across personal finance and money management products. This onsite role in Mountain View, CA focuses on design leadership, strategy, and mentorship, with a strong emphasis on scalable, accessible experiences across web and mobile.

What you’ll do
  • Lead design initiatives for Intuit Credit Karma engagement features, shaping both the member journey and the product vision.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into simple, accessible, and engaging experiences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance member needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Use research and data to guide design decisions, test hypotheses, and continuously refine solutions.
  • Advocate for design excellence and accessibility so each touchpoint reflects Credit Karma’s brand and values.
  • Contribute to and extend design systems to improve consistency and scalability across products.
  • Work on scalable platform solutions with velocity and rigor by leveraging and contributing to the Intuit design system and innovating with new and existing tech capabilities.
  • Lead delivery of high-level frameworks to understand the problem space, detailed design specifications for end-to-end initiatives, and ideal state prototypes.
  • Design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize across user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web and mobile.
  • Drive cross-platform designs with a mobile-first approach to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Use customer insights and data to ensure solutions are rooted in empathy and address real user needs.
  • Mentor and guide other designers to elevate the overall design practice across the Credit Karma team.
  • Develop and execute design strategies, frameworks, principles, and designs across a broad range of projects to accelerate large initiatives and align stakeholders.
  • Bring a bold vision to life across multiple areas in the ecosystem, connecting initiatives to maximize impact.
  • Serve as a lighthouse for high-impact growth design work and set a gold standard for design practices across the Product organization.
  • Provide mentorship and thought leadership that cultivates a culture of high velocity, bias for action, experimentation, and shared learnings.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to define strategy, identify opportunities, and deliver experiences with measurable impact.
  • Operate with autonomy while partnering with stakeholders across Design, Development, Product Management, Data/Analytics, and Service Design.
  • Use strong storytelling to influence internal leaders, partners, and customers by visualizing ideas and concepts.
  • Apply facilitative leadership to drive toward the best outcomes for stakeholders and inspire collaboration.
What you bring
  • 10+ years of UX/UI/Product design experience, including at least 2 years in a staff or senior staff-level role, plus significant experience designing mobile apps.
  • A strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design work and the ability to tackle ambiguous problems.
  • Exceptional visual, interaction, and systems design skills with close attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of human-centered design, accessibility, and usability principles.
  • Expert experience applying user-centered design processes with collaborative teams that may include engineering, product management, and user research.
  • Deep knowledge of UX methods including innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem framing, and design principles.
  • Familiarity with mobile design guidelines and best practices, including Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
  • A proven track record shipping impactful consumer-facing digital products, ideally in fintech, banking, or financial wellness, including mobile product development.
  • Ability to influence across organizational levels while balancing business needs with member advocacy.
  • Proven ability to set a vision for great customer experiences, inspire others, and deliver products known for delightful, easy-to-use experiences.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and research.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly present and rationalize design decisions.
  • Facilitative leadership strengths to build positive relationships and continuously raise the bar.
  • Passion for helping people achieve better financial outcomes and for building emotionally resonant products.
  • Strong organization and self-direction to manage multiple complex projects on time.

Compensation

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit also conducts regular comparisons to drive ongoing fair pay across categories of ethnicity and gender.

  • Expected base pay range (Mountain View, CA): USD 203,000 - 274,500 per year
