Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape digital experiences across customer-facing apps and internal tools. You’ll work on discovery, UX, IA, and UI for diverse user groups within the global art and luxury ecosystem.

You’ll lead design efforts, collaborate with PMs and engineers, and contribute to a design system while driving excellence in UX across teams. This role is based in New York with a strong emphasis on hybrid collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of product/UX/UI design experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing consumer-facing and enterprise experiences.
• Proficiency in Figma or similar modern design tools.
• Systems thinking and ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with responsive design; mobile experience is a plus.
• Background in e-commerce, logistics, or service workflows is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for features spanning client experiences and staff workflows.
• Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and cross-functional partners.
• Conduct user interviews, map workflows, and define IA for complex systems.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.
• Support design QA and ensure high-quality execution.
• Use and contribute to the design system.
• Provide feedback to peers and help elevate UX practices across the team.
