Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience with ownership of a hard problem area.
• Portfolio shows interaction and visual craft in shipped products.
• Experience designing multi-state experiences with edge cases and recovery paths.
• Systems thinking creating coherence across surfaces and mechanisms.
• Track record shaping product direction, not only executing briefs.
• End-to-end ownership from framing to launch and evaluation.
• Ability to influence scope with Product and Engineering and maintain design quality.
• Comfort handling technical constraints and discerning real limits from assumptions.
• Ability to prototype complex interactions responsive to real use.
• Fluency with AI-assisted design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design the live capture experience across desktop, mobile, web, bots, and integrations.
• Define how Read communicates its state so users see it's working without leaving the meeting.
• Keep the meeting as the user’s primary focus, not Read.
• Plan for permissions denial, restricted platforms, or partial capture and recovery.
• Explain what was preserved or missed and what can be done next.
• Help users create a useful meeting record from notes, photos, files, and media.
• Design disclosure, consent, notification, objection, and opt-out experiences.
• Balance transparency with keeping the meeting focused and usable.
• Navigate competing needs of Read user, host, participants, admins, and platform providers.
• Define a coherent capture-state model across surfaces.
