Job summary

Esri is seeking a senior UX/UI designer for Map Viewer, crafting end-to-end, user-centered interfaces for web-based mapping tools. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to develop personas, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that inform frontend capabilities and future Map Viewer experiences.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise SaaS product design, strong Figma skills, and a portfolio showing shipped features and interaction design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience for enterprise SaaS or web applications.
• Proficiency with Figma and pattern libraries.
• Experience with localization/internationalization.
• Strong accessibility background (WCAG 2.0/Section 508).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Online portfolio demonstrating interaction design and shipped features.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in human factors, HCI, graphic design, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design end-to-end mapping experiences for ArcGIS Map Viewer.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into features and specifications.
• Create personas, user journeys, IA diagrams, wireframes, visual design, and prototypes.
• Partner with SDK and engineering to shape frontend capabilities for Map Viewer experiences.
• Conduct usability testing and research to identify design improvements for Map Viewer.
