Job summary

Esri seeks a Product Designer to advance ArcGIS Field Maps on iOS and Android. You will work with designers, developers and product experts to streamline workflows and bridge field and office work. Relocation assistance is available to Portland, ME to join a forward‑looking GIS team.

Own end-to-end design, craft high‑fidelity visuals, and ensure quality UX across platforms, influencing the future of Esri’s mobile GIS solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing applications.
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and platform guidelines.
• Proficient with design tools Sketch or Figma.
• Experience creating diagrams, wireframes and high‑fidelity interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of design work from brainstorming through to implementation.
• Produce high fidelity visuals consistent across apps and platforms.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure quality UX.
• Explain design concepts and rationale to the team.
• Facilitate participatory and iterative design exercises.
• Partner with leadership to shape Esri's field apps direction.
