Job summary

Lightning AI in New York City is seeking a senior product designer to shape groundbreaking technology for our machine learning platform, blending UX, interaction, and visual design to deliver products users love.

Collaborate with product and engineering, test ideas with users, conduct research, and iterate from concept to production in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. This role reports to the Chief Creative Officer and offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in designing B2C software or technical platforms.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end product thinking across UX, interaction, and visual design.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and researchers.
• Curiosity about open source AI ecosystem and enterprise AI teams needs.
• Comfort in ambiguity across multiple product maturity levels.

Responsibilities

• Shape user experience, interface, interactions, and visual design end-to-end.
• Create journeys, flows, prototypes, and designs.
• Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Engage with open source AI community and researchers.
• Reduce friction to onboard and use our platform.
• Advocate for scalable design systems across the product.
