Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead Instagram-wide design efforts that enable AI-native product development end-to-end. The role focuses on centralized tooling to empower product teams, shaping how orgs work with AI and design systems at scale.

You will mentor designers, craft a premium experience, and collaborate with leadership to align on a future-first design vision across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of product design experience with impact on platforms or tools.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-surface systems.
• Deep experience with AI-powered products, design tools, or productivity platforms.
• Ability to lead design in highly complex environments with internal builders.
• Experience designing for AI agents or conversational interfaces is a plus.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
• Experience shaping organizational processes through product and design.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive end-to-end vision to scale org-wide tooling used daily.
• Shape the org memory context system for docs, decisions, and rationale.
• Maintain craft and coherence across surfaces, setting quality for AI outputs.
• Set design vision for new products or platforms from zero-to-one.
• Coordinate across AI capabilities, platform infra, and design systems.
• Apply AI-native thinking to IA, interactions, and agent behaviors.
• Raise the bar on craft, delivering memorable, configurable experiences.
• Articulate design vision to senior leadership and align stakeholders.
• Mentor designers and advance AI-native design practices.
