Job summary

Frontline Education is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead large-scale design initiatives across our product portfolio, partnering with Product, Engineering and Research to shape experiences for educators and administrators.

This hands-on leadership role moves from long‑term vision to detailed execution, mentoring designers, raising design quality, advancing the design system, and crafting AI-enabled, accessible experiences.

Qualifications

10+ years designing digital products.
Portfolio with large-scale product experiences.
Experience with SaaS or enterprise platforms.
Ability to define experience vision and translate into workflows.
Strong interaction, visual, information architecture, prototyping, and systems design.
Experience mentoring designers.

Responsibilities

Define long-term experience vision and strategy across Frontline’s product portfolio.
Lead complex design initiatives from discovery through delivery.
Partner with customers and research teams to understand educators' workflows and unmet needs.
Influence priorities and investments through customer insight and design direction.
Design cohesive end-to-end experiences across products and workflows.
Raise standards for interaction, visual design, accessibility, and systems thinking.
Advance Frontline's design system and shared patterns.
Define AI-enabled and adaptive experiences with user trust in mind.
Work with Engineering to preserve design intent and quality of shipped experience.
Connect design decisions to measurable customer and business outcomes.
Mentor designers to elevate design quality.
