Edenspiekermann is seeking a Senior Product Designer with hands-on, AI-driven mindset to join our US design team in a permanent, full-time, remote-first role based in Southern California. You will design digital products and experiences, collaborate across disciplines, and explore AI-enabled workflows while traveling to client sites as engagements require.

A strong portfolio and advanced Figma skills are essential.

Our interaction designers work in agile and interdisciplinary teams on websites and platforms for major brands as well as for startups. Our teams combine conceptual thinking, a sophisticated understanding of design and a deep knowledge of web and app development to develop a digital product or service with a user-centric approach. In doing so, we advise and coach our clients' teams to provide the best customer experience for their customers.

Description

We are looking for a talented, curious, hands‑on Senior Product Designer with a strong interest in artificial intelligence to join our US design team in a permanent, full‑time, remote‑first role based in Southern California. You will work primarily from home and be available to travel to client sites across the United States as engagements require. You will conceptualize, design, and deliver digital products and experiences, combining excellent visual and interaction design with enthusiasm for how AI can enhance the creative process and the products we build.

You do not need to be an AI engineer or have all the answers. You should already be exploring AI tools, understand their possibilities and limitations, and be motivated to turn experimentation into useful design outcomes. You will collaborate with designers, strategists, researchers, developers, and clients on digital platforms, design systems, and AI‑enabled experiences.

Your tasks

Product design and creative execution

• Design intuitive, engaging digital products, websites, applications, and services.
• Translate user needs, business goals, and technical requirements into thoughtful experiences.
• Develop journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
• Create and evolve design systems, component libraries, and visual languages with accessibility and scalability in mind.
• Contribute original concepts, collaborate with developers, and participate in research, testing, and iteration.

AI enabled design and innovation

• Incorporate AI tools into research, ideation, prototyping, content creation, and production workflows.
• Experiment with generative AI to expand creative possibilities and improve efficiency.
• Conceptualize and prototype AI‑enabled experiences, including conversational interfaces, intelligent assistants, personalized experiences, and adaptive interactions.
• Explore how AI can solve real user problems, working with designers and developers to test feasibility.
• Share effective AI workflows and evaluate outputs critically for quality, accessibility, privacy, reliability, and human oversight.

Collaboration and design leadership

• Own assigned design workstreams from exploration through delivery.
• Contribute to workshops and client presentations, clearly explaining design decisions.
• Mentor less‑experienced designers through collaboration and feedback.
• Work independently, challenge assumptions constructively, and contribute to a low‑ego, multidisciplinary team.

Your profile

Design experience and capabilities

• Approximately 5–8 years in product design, digital design, UX/UI, or a related discipline.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual craft, interaction design, systems thinking, and digital products.
• Advanced Figma proficiency, including components, variables, prototyping, and design systems.
• Understanding of user‑centered design, information architecture, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Experience taking products from concept through implementation with product and engineering teams.
• Strong typography, composition, visual storytelling, and communication skills.

AI experience and mindset

• Hands‑on experience using generative AI in your design process.
• Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, Cursor, or comparable emerging tools.
• Genuine curiosity about AI's impact on digital products, creativity, and human‑computer interaction.
• Interest in AI‑generated content, conversational experiences, intelligent recommendations, and automated workflows.
• Willingness to experiment, learn, share discoveries, and distinguish useful applications from hype.

You do not need expertise in every AI tool or extensive experience shipping AI products. We value initiative, experimentation, sound judgment, and an understanding of how AI complements strong design practice.

Personal qualities

• Creative, curious, self‑starting, collaborative, and receptive to feedback.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, iteration, ownership, and hands‑on design work.
• Comfortable working across US and European teams.
• Based in Southern California and available to travel to US client sites as engagements require.

• The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000, depending on experience and qualifications
