Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Product Design Specialist to design and develop complex product components, manufacturing systems, and prototypes using CAD/CAE tools. You will work with engineers and cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturability, performance, and cost.

This role emphasizes mentoring, collaboration, and solving challenging technical problems while delivering high-quality engineering solutions for energy technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering design or related field.
• Several years of experience in product design or manufacturing design.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE software and engineering design tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration, with ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Your Background

• Associate degree, technical diploma, vocational education, or equivalent experience in engineering design, drafting, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in product design, manufacturing design, or engineering support functions.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE software and engineering design tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently under limited supervision.
