Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA is seeking a Mechanical Product Design Engineer to lead mechanical design from concept through production, balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost. You will collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop 3D models, perform stress/thermal analyses, and create detailed drawings using CAD tools, while driving verification, testing, and documentation to support global product launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
  • Proven expertise with 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools, including FEA and CFD.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and design for manufacturability principles.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills within multidisciplinary teams.
