Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Mankato, MN, seeks a Sr. Product Design Engineer to lead design release control and engineering change management, coordinating with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing and logistics.

You will drive continuous improvement in product design processes and documentation, support new product development, and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering with 5 years experience, or 9 years in related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes.
• Proficient with SAP, PTC Windchill, Windows for PC, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering change management, requests, and cross-functional collaboration for new and existing product changes.
• Create and maintain product BOMs and part numbers in ERP systems, ensuring complete and accurate structures.
• Support new product design and development, providing input and troubleshooting for Bills of Material concerns.
• Resolve project issues, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to product design processes and documentation.
