The Opportunity:

At VeSync, we are passionate about delighting consumers with our products and services across our brands. We are now looking for a Senior Product Design Engineer to help establish a new Product Innovation Team in North America, our largest market.

The Consumer Insights and User Experience teams contribute daily to creating exciting new products. Our consumer-first approach has made us the number one choice in several categories. The Senior Product Design Engineer will support the Head of Product Innovation, leading front-end roadmap development for existing and new categories, acting as a senior figure within the team.

The role bridges Design and Engineering to create, prototype, and test solutions aligned with insights, marketing, and brand teams in the US. Concepts will be tested with consumers, prototyped, validated in the US, with support from R&D teams in China for detailed design and manufacturing.

What you will do at VeSync:

1. Technical Expert: Be an authority on consumer product technologies, engineering principles (motorized & heated products), solution selection, manufacturing techniques, and materials across categories.
2. Builder of Things: Build proof-of-concept rigs using existing components, 3D printed or CNC parts, micro-controller PCBA's, or Arduino controllers for early buy-in and feasibility testing.
3. Communicate: Present complex engineering data clearly to team members and leadership in the US and China.
4. Consumer Insights: Guide design solutions based on a comprehensive understanding of consumer needs and experiences.
5. Process Adherence: Apply and bring structure to our global IPD process, ensuring seamless collaboration.
6. Inspire: Bring passion, creativity, and drive to support the product innovation team across brands.

What you bring to the role:

1. Education: Bachelor's in Engineering; MSc in Industrial Design Engineering preferred. Note: This is NOT an Industrial Design role.
2. Experience: 10+ years in consumer product design and development for international markets, including motorized and heated products like power tools, blenders, vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, ovens, air fryers.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic controls.
4. Hands-on experience from concept to validation rigs and hand-over for manufacturing.
5. Leadership: Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, locally or abroad.
6. IoT: Understanding of connected products and consumer experience.
7. Attention to detail: Use analysis and intelligence to anticipate problems and get it right the first time.
8. Market Experience: Deep knowledge of the US consumer product market in key categories.
9. Resolve: Ability to listen, ask questions, understand complex issues, and propose next steps.

Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 annually
