Formlabs in Somerville, MA, is seeking a seasoned hardware engineer with 5+ years in mechatronics to drive research, development and implementation of next-generation products. You will prototype, test, and collaborate with design teams to transition concepts into manufacturable solutions.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, and software domains, applying systems thinking and data-driven decisions to optimize performance and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on mechatronics product design.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping (mechanical, electrical, software).
• Experience with sensors/actuators and data-driven decision making.
• Knowledge of plastics/metals/adhesives; testing and analysis focus.

We're a collaborative group driven by innovation and great product development to develop the Formlabs printing process and bring transformative products to market.**The Job:**In this role, you will work cross-functionally and have a pivotal role in the research, development, and implementation of new products. You will innovate new ways of doing things and work with the design teams to move 3d printing technology forward. The base pay will be determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and expected impact on the organization.The annual base pay range for this role is:$130,000 - $225,000 USD
