Collective is hiring a Senior Product Data Scientist to shape core product experiences for our member platform. You will translate member behavior into actionable insights across incorporation, bookkeeping, tax, and payroll, guiding the roadmap and ensuring data quality across systems.

You’ll own metrics end-to-end, build trusted data via modern tools, and partner with product, engineering, and finance to drive growth and retention for self-employed members.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data science, product analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Curious, proactive, and capable of handling ambiguous problems.
• Strong SQL and Python (or R) skills.
• Experience with modern data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran).
• Ability to design and interpret A/B tests and build decision frameworks.
• Strong product analytics skills with Amplitude, Segment, Metabase.
• Excellent communication and ability to tell data-driven stories.
• Product sense and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead product analytics from problem framing to insights.
• Apply segmentation, cohort, retention, and churn analyses.
• Identify growth opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
• Define and monitor metrics for key initiatives.
• Build and maintain clean, tested data sets from multiple sources.
• Implement tests, monitoring, and lineage to ensure data trust.
• Maintain semantic layer and documentation for data agents.
• Deliver with urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
