Job summary

Scribe is seeking its first Senior Data Scientist for Product to partner with product, design, and engineering teams, understand user behavior, and measure the impact of what we build. Reporting to the Head of Data, you will set standards for product analytics and experimentation, and mentor others in the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a data scientist or data analyst partnering with product teams.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and experimental design; hands-on with A/B tests.
• Fluency in SQL and programming in Python or R; familiarity with analytics tooling.
• Experience building product metrics, dashboards, and data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to drive insights across engagement, retention, and long-term trends.
• Own experimentation by designing, running, and socializing rigorous experiments.
• Lead with hypotheses and validate them with data.
• Define and monitor product metrics with dashboards and datasets.
• Build reproducible data culture and scalable tooling.
• Mentor teammates on statistics, experimentation, and analytics practices.
