Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Staff & Principal Product Data Scientists to help build a world-class data ecosystem that supports data-governed product decision making at Slack. You will work with PDE and GTM teams to shape product strategy and deliver data-driven insights.

You’ll design an agentic data delivery platform and enable self-serve analytics across large-scale datasets, communicating findings clearly to executives and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product data science experience in tech industries.
• Strong data-driven decision making and ability to influence product outcomes.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one DS language (Python/R/Scala).
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is highly desirable.
• Experience with Spark, Presto, Hive, Hadoop or similar distributed data platforms.
• Excellent communication of complex analyses to executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish partnerships with product stakeholders to identify opportunities and roadmaps.
• Evangelize evidence-based decision making and ensure data accessibility.
• Evaluate drivers for increased adoption of Slack product capabilities.
• Build metric frameworks and self-serve reporting for product health.
• Prototype foundational data models and partner with Data Engineering to canonical sources.
