Job summary

Axon Enterprise is seeking a Product Counsel to guide the legal aspects from design through launch of Axon 911 and ongoing operations. You will collaborate with Privacy, InfoSec, Compliance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and IP teams to address risk across connected products and data sharing.

The role requires strong legal judgment, experience in technology/product matters, and the ability to translate complex concepts for non-lawyers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD required and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–7 years of legal experience focusing on technology and/or product matters.
• Experience with risk management, weighing business tradeoffs and practical solutions.
• Strong issue-spotting skills across multiple products and integrations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain legal risk to non-lawyers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as product counsel for Axon 911, advising on legal risk from design through launch and ongoing operation.
• Review features, roadmaps, and integrations; provide practical guidance for informed decisions.
• Spot legal and regulatory issues across products that connect and share data across systems.
• Act as the legal liaison to Privacy, InfoSec, Compliance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Intellectual Property.
• Coordinate with teams to align on risk positions and resolve cross-disciplinary questions.
• Translate complex legal concepts into actionable direction for non-lawyers.
• Review marketing collateral and product claims for accuracy and legal risk.
• Stay current on laws affecting AI, public safety tech, and digital evidence.
