Ideal candidates have 8+ years of legal experience including 4+ years in AI or emerging technology, with in-house experience and strong ability to communicate complex concepts to technical teams.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of legal experience, including 4+ years counseling on AI, machine learning, or other emerging technology products.
- Prior in-house experience is required.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and technical AI concepts into clear guidance for non-legal, technical audiences.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity, tight timelines, and a high volume of novel legal questions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as go-to counsel for teams building AI models and products, advising on legal issues spanning model development, outputs, and clinical use.
- Identify and mitigate AI-specific legal risks including IP, data rights, liability, and training data provenance.
- Develop flexible legal processes and contract language suited to frontier AI development.
- Represent Abridge's positions on AI regulation with regulators, external counsel, and industry groups.
