Job summary

OCR Alpha, partnered with a leading hedge fund, is seeking a senior hire for its Middle Office / Product Control function in Connecticut. The role sits close to the front office, working with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk and Technology across strategies and products to own daily P&L production and resolve pricing/valuation issues.

This position suits someone with deep Product Control / Middle Office experience, broad derivatives knowledge, and a commercial, front-office-facing mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Product Control, Middle Office or related function within hedge funds or similar alternatives.
• Strong experience supporting Portfolio Managers and Traders directly.
• Broad product knowledge across derivatives and complex instruments.
• Deep understanding of P&L, valuations, trade lifecycle, reconciliations and corporate actions.

OCR Alpha is partnered with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund looking to add a senior hire to its Middle Office / Product Control function in Connecticut.

The role sits very close to the front office and will work directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk and Technology across a broad range of strategies and products. Day to day, the successful candidate will own and oversee daily P&L production, investigate pricing and valuation issues, support PMs with P&L and performance queries, and help drive improvements across reporting, controls and systems.

This is a strong fit for someone who combines deep Product Control / Middle Office experience with broad product knowledge and a commercial, front-office-facing mindset.

The firm operates a hybrid model with three days per week in the office.

We’re particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• 8+ years’ experience across Product Control, Middle Office or a closely related function within a hedge fund or alternative investment environment.
• Strong experience supporting Portfolio Managers and Traders directly.
• Broad product knowledge across derivatives and other complex instruments.
• A strong understanding of P&L, valuations, trade lifecycle, reconciliations and corporate actions.
• Experience driving process improvement, automation or systems-related projects.
• Strong Excel skills, with SQL, Python, VBA or similar tools highly advantageous.
