Job summary

OCR Alpha is expanding its Product Control team in New York, offering a rare blend of Product Control and Middle Office exposure. You will own daily P&L across multiple products and work closely with Portfolio Managers, Treasury and Risk teams to shape the platform.

Ideal candidates bring experience in Product Control or Middle Office, preferably from buy-side environments, with a strong interest in moving into hedge funds.

Qualifications

• Experience across Product Control, Middle Office or closely related function.
• Buy-side experience preferred, but strong candidates from investment banking with product knowledge will be considered.
• Interest in hedge funds and broad exposure to investment platform is valued.

OCR Alpha is working with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund managing $15bn+ in assets, with a global footprint across the US, Europe and Asia.

As the firm continues to scale its investment platform, they are looking to add a high-calibre professional to their Product Control team. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone looking to move beyond a traditional P&L-focused role, with the position sitting across Product Control and Middle Office and offering genuine exposure to the wider investment platform.

You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Treasury, Risk and other investment-facing teams, taking ownership of daily P&L across a range of products and strategies. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in process improvement, systems development and automation initiatives - giving you the chance to have a real impact on how the function evolves.

We’re looking for someone with experience across Product Control, Middle Office or a closely related function. Buy-side experience is preferred, but strong candidates from investment banking with excellent product knowledge and a genuine interest in moving into a hedge fund environment will also be considered.

This role would suit someone who wants more than a traditional Product Control seat — someone who wants broader exposure, closer interaction with investment teams and the opportunity to help shape and improve the infrastructure supporting a growing hedge fund.
