Job summary

MKS Instruments seeks a Principal Product Compliance Engineer to lead regulatory product compliance across Plasma and Reactive Gas lines. You'll partner with engineering teams and external facilities to drive compliance, certification, testing, and sustainability initiatives.

This role reports to the Director of Operations, Compliance and requires 7+ years in product compliance/testing, with knowledge of LVD, EMC/EMI, and global regulations (FCC, CE, RoHS, REACH, CA65, EPA TSCA).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product compliance/testing and regulatory readiness.
• Hands-on with LVD/EMC directives and harmonized standards (61010-1, 61326-1).
• Experience applying FCC, CE, RoHS, REACH and other regulations across products.

Responsibilities

• Own compliance for Plasma and Reactive Gas products, nationally and internationally.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure NPIs and legacy products meet standards.
• Direct internal testing and address safety issues to achieve compliance.
• Maintain regulatory approvals and resolve design/manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate design reviews to ensure processing method compatibility.
