Job summary

Lab37 Robotics in Pittsburgh is seeking a Product Certification Specialist to own the full certification lifecycle for NSF sanitation, electrical safety, and operator-safety requirements across robotic food-production systems.

You will translate regulatory needs into engineering criteria, coordinate with internal teams and external certification bodies, and maintain readiness for audits and ongoing compliance. Based in the US, travel to deployment sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, regulatory affairs, quality, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of professional product certification/regulatory compliance for electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with NSF or a third-party certification organization.
• Ability to interpret sanitation, electrical, operator-safety, and food-code requirements.
• Strong program management, auditing, documentation, and cross-functional communication.
• Willingness to travel to production and deployment sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the full certification lifecycle for NSF sanitation, electrical safety, and operator-safety requirements.
• Develop the compliance strategy aligning with national standards and health codes.
• Translate requirements into product plans, verification plans, and evidence.
• Build lightweight internal compliance systems for documentation and traceability.
• Conduct audits and maintain readiness for certification bodies, customers, and regulators.
