Salary Range: $130,000-$180,000 base plus 0.5%-1.0% equity.

Our client is looking for an experienced, thoughtful senior product backend engineer to accelerate their product development. This is a backend role with a strong collaborative element.

As an early-stage company, you'll have an outsized equity stake and an unparalleled opportunity to shape the product's direction. Engineers decide what gets built and why, in addition to figuring out how.

Role responsibilities:

• Work directly with the CTO (ex-founder & led product & engineering teams at Improbable) and our client's small but mighty team of founding engineers

• Collaborate on building APIs used by Shelf for new product features and experiences

• Build services, pipelines, and data to power new product capabilities

• Support long-term scalability of architecture as more users join and use Shelf

• Ensure code and product quality

• Implement engineering best practices across development and deployment

• Guide and mentor other engineers (note: this is an IC role; if you're looking for a pure Engineering Manager role, this isn't the best fit)
