Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Product Architect to lead data-architecture initiatives within the Digital Sales & Events team. You will collaborate across digital, technology, and business groups to design scalable, secure data solutions and ensure reliable integrations across Hyatt's systems.

You will guide data design, modeling, and API strategies while mentoring engineers and coordinating cross-team efforts to support Hyatt’s growth and enterprise needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in complex enterprise technology environments with software engineering or architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable data and application architectures.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and data migration knowledge.
• Experience with data pipelines and event-driven architectures; familiar with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with REST APIs and platforms like Apigee or nginx.
• Experience with Java-based services, CI/CD, and cloud or container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for a digital product area with a focus on data architecture.
• Translate business requirements into data and application architecture; evaluate impacts.
• Define solutions with data integrity, security, and scalability in mind across teams.
• Coordinate strategies across teams to ensure integrated systems and data flows.
• Guide teams on data design, relational modeling, SQL, APIs, and event-driven patterns.
• Coordinate operational validation after maintenance windows and releases.
• Document architecture decisions, standards, and reference designs (RFCs).
• Mentor engineers in data design, scalability, reliability, and operational practices.
