Job summary

Route seeks a Senior Product Analyst to partner with the Product team, shaping strategy, evaluating opportunities, and improving product performance through data-driven insights. You will own analyses from problem definition to recommendations, building trusted metrics and scalable data models.

You will work with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, Finance and Revenue Ops to connect product outcomes with business impact, while applying AI thoughtfully to accelerate workflows and maintain

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product analytics or data analytics supporting a product or growth organization.
• Strong product and business judgment with ability to explain what happened, why, and what should happen next.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets.
• Experience with dbt, data modeling, metric design and analytics engineering practices.
• Strong foundation in statistics and experimentation, including A/B testing and sample sizing.
• Proficiency with Python for analysis and automation.
• Experience building dashboards and reporting in modern BI platforms.
• Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers to identify opportunities and influence roadmap decisions using data.
• Translate ambiguous questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
• Analyze customer and merchant behavior, funnels, adoption, retention, and monetization for optimization.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests with hypothesis development, metrics, sampling, and interpretation.
• Apply statistical methods to evaluate performance, identify root causes and quantify impact.
• Define product KPIs and measurement frameworks linking outcomes to business impact.
• Build scalable analytic data models using SQL and dbt.
• Develop dashboards and self-service analytics for visibility into product performance.
• Perform deep-dive analyses to understand metric changes and recommend next steps.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data Engineering on instrumentation and data availability.
• Connect product decisions with revenue, operations, and financial outcomes.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate analysis while validating outputs.
• Communicate complex analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
