Job summary

Axios is seeking a creative, highly organized Producer/Senior Producer to own end‑to‑end video projects from concept through publication and audience growth. You will oversee ideation, scripting, shooting, editing, and distribution for Axios Show and other formats across YouTube and social platforms.

You will partner with editorial, video, social, and external partners to deliver engaging, accurate video that matches Axios’s voice and standards, while managing timelines and talent both in studio

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant video production, journalism or editorial experience.
• Experience producing, shooting, and editing professional video content with a strong showreel.
• Strong editorial judgment and visual storytelling; ability to turn ideas into finished video.
• Experience producing for YouTube with audience development, retention and platform storytelling.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and working with on‑camera talent.

Responsibilities

• Produce video from ideation through scripting, shooting, post‑production, publishing, and promotion.
• Shape ideas into pitches, treatments, scripts, shot lists and run‑of‑show materials.
• Develop creative concepts with editorial and video leaders for Axios voice and standards.
• Lead or support field, studio, and remote productions with talent.
• Coordinate across internal teams, freelancers, vendors, and production partners.
• Create video optimized for YouTube and other digital platforms, focusing on audience retention.
