Job summary

Axios seeks a creative, highly organized Producer/Senior Producer to drive end-to-end video from concept to publication across Axios Show and other formats for YouTube and digital platforms.

The role blends ideation, scripting, directing shoots, editing, and audience growth, collaborating with editorial, video, social, and external partners to deliver high-quality storytelling in Axios’ voice.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of video production, journalism or editorial experience.
• Experience producing, shooting, and editing professional video content with a strong portfolio.
• Strong editorial judgment and visual storytelling skills.
• Experience producing for YouTube and understanding audience development and platform-native storytelling.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working with on-camera talent and strong writing/communication.
• Collaborative, entrepreneurial approach across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce video from ideation through scripting, shooting, post-production, publishing and promotion.
• Shape ideas into pitches, treatments, scripts and shot lists.
• Partner with editorial and video leaders to align with Axios’ voice and standards.
• Lead or support field, studio, and remote productions.
• Work with journalists, executives, guests and on-camera talent.
• Coordinate work across internal teams, freelancers, vendors and production partners.
• Create video optimized for YouTube and other platforms, including audience retention and distribution.
• Use platform trends and insights to inform creative decisions and grow Axios video audience.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and production schedules in a fast-moving environment.
