Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage complex procurement activities and high-profile contracts over $70,000. You will oversee bids, proposals, and city contracts, while guiding staff and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities include contract negotiations, software testing, and process improvements to support efficient purchasing. A strong background in public procurement is required.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in purchasing/contract management.
• Ability to review bids, proposals, and contracts with accuracy.
• Strong leadership and guidance for procurement staff.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and approve bids and award recommendations requiring City Council approval.
• Lead and supervise staff to maintain productivity and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate procurement with Federal, State, and City codes/regulations.
• Manage procurement software testing and process improvements.
• Provide procurement support in notices, issues, and vendor protests.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
