Job summary

MFS is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end purchase process, bid and analyze supplier proposals, and negotiate favorable terms to maximize value.

You will support procurement programs, maintain supplier relationships, and provide training on PeopleSoft eProcurement while collaborating with internal business partners across functions. The role requires 2–5+ years of related experience and strong Excel/SharePoint skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Reviews purchase requests for completeness and proper authorizations prior to creating and issuing Purchase Orders to Suppliers.
• Works with business to understand requirements, determine appropriate vendor, obtain bids and provide analysis.
• Negotiates pricing and terms with Suppliers.
• Manages the daily operation of Procurement programs, for example, Procurement Card Program or Office Supply Program.
• Is responsible for special projects or analysis.
• Establishes and maintains Supplier relations. Identifies issues and works with Suppliers to resolve problems that arise.
• Provides training and support for our Peoplesoft eProcurement application.
