Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense, Avionics USA, LLC. is seeking a Principal Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end sourcing, supplier qualification, and cost optimization to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

This role covers direct and indirect purchasing, SAP purchase orders, RFQ/RFP management, and cross-functional collaboration with domestic and international suppliers. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 5+ years in supply chain and ERP

Qualifications

Understanding of procurement principles and supplier negotiations.
Experience with direct and indirect purchasing and ERP systems.
Experience sourcing materials and managing supplier performance.
Ability to manage projects and critical timelines to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assigned indirect and direct purchasing responsibilities.
Procure materials, supplies and services to meet objectives.
Manage and perform all purchase order processes in SAP.
Research, interview and evaluate suppliers for quality, delivery, cost and service.
Manage RFQ and RFP processes end-to-end.
Lead lean/six sigma purchasing procedures and policies; train as needed.
Drive value engineering with key suppliers.
Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and records.
Ensure invoicing accuracy and timely payments to vendors.
Provide remote support to multiple suppliers and locations (domestic and international).
Support and help implement supply chain initiatives at site.
