Job summary

DeepL is seeking a procurement professional to manage IT/SaaS sourcing, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations. You will lead end-to-end procurement, align with IT, Security, Finance, and Legal, and help transform procurement processes across the company.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, drive cost optimization, and ensure compliant, timely supplier engagements in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and negotiate contracts for SaaS, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Manage the full end-to-end procurement cycle from requirements gathering to supplier appraisal, contract negotiation, and SRM.
• Partner with IT, Security, Finance, and Legal to streamline processes and ensure compliance with business needs.
• Support procurement process transformation to evolve IT-centric procurement into a company-wide function.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on SaaS and other procurement matters; communicate progress, risks and outcomes.

Job description

Your Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and negotiate contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
• Manage the full end-to-end procurement cycle from gathering requirements, identifying and appraising suppliers, negotiating contracts, and SRM activities, focusing on SaaS.
• Partner with IT, Security, Finance, and Legal to streamline processes and ensure contracts are compliant and aligned with business needs and best practices.
• Procurement Process & Transformation
  • Support the evolution of procurement from IT-only focus to company-wide function.
  • Implement efficient procurement processes, including purchase requisition, order placement, and invoice reconciliation, leveraging technology tools and systems.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on SaaS and other procurement matters.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Develop and execute strategies to consolidate the software toolsets in place.

About you

• Proven experience in an IT/SaaS Procurement role (buyer or above) or similar role, preferably within IT or SaaS.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices.
• Experience collaborating with Finance, Legal, and IT stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to maintain transparency across multiple projects.
• Ability to balance short-term needs (e.g., renewals) with long-term strategic improvements.
