Job summary

MetLife’s US Procurement Partnering team leads enterprise-wide category management and strategic sourcing across all non-technology spend categories, partnering with senior business leaders to architect high-impact sourcing strategies. As a Sr.

Consultant, Procurement Partnering, you will own end-to-end sourcing execution, lead high-spend negotiations, and act as a trusted advisor to VP+ stakeholders to drive value and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10+ years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or commercial strategy.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations ($1M-$10M+).
• Experience across multiple non-tech categories, with strong exposure to technology, SaaS, and AI-related sourcing.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with strong executive presence and ability to influence VP/SVP-level stakeholders.
• Experience with procurement tools and platforms, including intake and orchestration tools (Zip), P2P suites (Ariba, Workday), CLM solutions (Ariba CW, Ironclad), and AI productivity tools (Copilot, Claude).

Responsibilities

• Lead and architect the most complex LOB sourcing initiatives across Marketing, HR, and Print & Promotional categories, with strong engagement in technology and AI-driven deals.
• Independently lead high-value negotiations, including pricing, commercial constructs, and contractual terms, applying structured negotiation frameworks, should-cost models, and benchmarking insights.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership stakeholders, aligning procurement strategies with business priorities, while proactively building and managing relationships across LOBs to identify pipeline opportunities and drive adoption.
• Develop and execute category strategies informed by market intelligence, supplier landscape analysis, and innovation trends, utilizing data and analytics to inform sourcing strategies, track savings, and measure value realization.
