Job summary

MetLife’s Global Business Solutions (GBS) team drives enterprise-wide procurement and indirect sourcing to enable scalable capabilities across the organization. As a Procurement Partnering Consultant, you will lead high-value sourcing engagements and negotiate strategic contracts with AVP/VP stakeholders, shaping AI, data, and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or commercial strategy.
Proven ability to independently lead complex sourcing initiatives ($500K-$5M+) and negotiations.
Experience across multiple non-tech categories with exposure to category management and strategic sourcing.
Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to influence AVP/VP-level stakeholders.
Experience with procurement tools and platforms, including Zip, Ariba, Workday, CLM, Copilot, Claude.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end sourcing execution across assigned indirect category deals.
Lead complex, high-spend negotiations independently.
Partner with Directors, AVPs, and VPs to align procurement strategy.
Develop category & market insights using data to track savings and value realization.
