Job summary

The Hawk Group seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement execution across the project, overseeing sourcing of equipment, materials, and services for engineering, construction, and delivery. This leadership role balances cost, quality, schedule, supplier performance, and commercial risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, SCM, logistics, or related field.
• At least 10 years in procurement with 5+ years in mining or large-scale construction projects.
• Experience with EPCm execution on mining, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of import/export customs and tariff requirements.
• Experience leading procurement personnel and supplier relationships.
• Strong contracting, logistics, Incoterms, and risk management knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple high-value procurement packages.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, construction, project controls, contracts, operations, and leadership.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, execution plans, cost targets, and schedules.
• Lead procurement of major equipment, materials, and services from planning through award and delivery.
• Coordinate sourcing and procurement execution plans, bidding, evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Lead supplier prequalification, competitive bidding, evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations.
• Negotiate contracts to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
• Monitor market conditions and long-lead equipment availability.
• Manage procurement schedules for long-lead equipment and critical materials.
• Track supplier performance, manufacturing progress, quality, logistics, and delivery commitments.
• Mentor procurement personnel and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, safety and governance requirements.
